2. Orders and custom work
Most products are custom-made (e.g. with a name, address or custom text).
You are responsible for making sure the information you enter (e.g. spelling, name, address, size and material) is correct before the order is confirmed.
We may refuse or cancel an order if a price or product was obviously listed incorrectly (paragraph 5 of Article 3 of Rules No. 536/2011) or if fraud or misuse is suspected. In that case we refund everything that was paid.
3. Prices and payments
All prices on the website include VAT.
You pay using the payment methods shown when you complete your order. We do not store payment card information.
4. Production time and delivery
Production time can vary by product and workload. Estimated production time and delivery methods are set out in the Shipping policy.
5. Returns, refunds and complaints
The Refund policy explains how returns and refunds work. It also sets out the terms of our satisfaction guarantee, which applies to all products, and explains your rights regarding defects.
6. Images and colours
Images are for reference. Colour and finish may vary slightly between screens and between material or production batches.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the website (texts, images, design, logos etc.) is the property of Skilti og merkingar or used with the permission of the rights holder. It may not be copied or used without written permission.
If you send us material for production (e.g. a logo or an image), you confirm that you have the right to use it.
8. Liability and limitation of liability
We take pride in quality. Towards consumers, our liability and compensation are governed by Act No. 48/2003 on Consumer Sales. In business-to-business transactions, our liability does not extend to indirect or consequential loss (e.g. lost turnover), unless required by law.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update the terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated version is published. Earlier orders are governed by the terms as they were when the order was placed.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes shall as a rule be settled before the courts of Iceland, unless otherwise required by mandatory rules.
If a dispute arises, you can contact the Consumer Complaints Board (kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa), Borgartún 21, Reykjavík (kvth.is).
